This framed poster captures the intense energy of the original, featuring Twombly's signature scrawls, smudges, and explosive gestures. As a leading curator of museum-quality reproductions, Cy Twombly Store brings you this iconic piece in a ready-to-hang, archival-grade framed print.

Why This Artwork Matters

Part V is particularly notable for its concentrated intensity, where Twombly's frenetic mark-making reaches a crescendo. The series, created in Rome, was inspired by the decadence and brutality of Commodus, the Roman emperor whose misrule ended in assassination. Twombly's use of color and line here is not just abstract; it's a psychological portrait of a dictator's unraveling mind. This piece invites you to explore the depths of human emotion and the fragility of power.

Exquisite Craftsmanship for Art Lovers

Our framed posters are crafted for those who demand the best.
